Hello , my name is Jason Bushey and I am running for the opportunity to represent the State of Nevada Assembly District 32. I was born and raised in Northern Nevada and have always had a strong connection to my community. My father has been the pastor of Fellowship Community Church in Lemmon Valley for over 20 years, where the importance of loving God, loving people and serving others has been the building blocks of who I am.

I joined the United Sates Army at the bright old age of sixteen when my parent’s consent was still required. I eagerly waited until I turned seventeen to actually ship off to basic training and begin my service as an 11B infantryman. My time in the service provided me with countless invaluable experiences and allowed me to serve alongside some of the finest Americans anyone could ever hope to have the pleaure of knowing. Unfortunately, I was wounded in combat during my deployment in Iraq on August 1st, 2008. However, I did not let that hinder me from continuing my service and completing my active duty contract. Once I was back in Nevada, I furthered my military career in the State of Nevada Army National Guard as a combat engineer in Fallon, Nevada. The wounds I incured over the course of my service innevitably led to my full medical retirement in 2018. My personal experiences have given me a deeply unique understanding of the challenges soldiers face when returning to civilian life.

In addition to my upbringing and military service, I am also a devoted husband and father. My bride Sara and I have been married for over twelve years, we have an eleven-year-old son, Jacob, and twin three-year-old girls, Evelyn and Raegan.

I am ready to use my passion for service and my understanding of the community’s unique challenges to serve the people of Nevada to the best of my ability. I strongly believe in responsible leadership and am committed to making informed decisions that will best represent my constituents within my district of representation. I am dedicated to listening to the needs and concerns of the people and using my voice to foster positive change.

With my strong work ethic, determination, and commitment to serving others, I believe I am the right candidate for the job. I am ready to bring a fresh perspective and a strong voice to the State of Nevada Assembly District 32 and represent the best interests of the people. Thank you for considering me as your candidate.
